Mother Agnes: "ENOUGH WITH THE VIOLENCE, WE WANT PEACE"

About two million Syrians, or ten per cent of the population are Christian. One of the more outspoken members of the Christian community there is a Lebanese-born nun Mother Agnes Mariam of the Cross who lived in Homs for 18-years. She's been travelling the world recently, drawing attention to the civil war in her adopted country and says the Syrian situation is not as simple as it's being reported claiming rebel forces are to blame for attrocities against minority groups including Christians, and for threats which forced her from her own Syrian home.
Mother Agnes says the path to freedom and democracy is through peaceful dialogue not violence.
